“Le Bal”, soon premiered at the Hamburg Opera House
Simone Young, director of the Hamburg Opera House, announced last Tuesday on a press conference the première of “Le Bal”, the opera Oscar Strasnoy is writing in collaboration with Matthew Jocelyn, librettist and opera director and Alain Lagarde, set designer. The new one-act-opera, based on Irene Nemirovsky’s novel “The Ball”, is going to be premiered on March 7, 2010 in an event called “Three women”, in which will be also preformed Arnold Schoenberg’s “Erwartung” and Wolfgang Rhim’s “Gehege”, all three operas conducted by Simone Young.
